A little about us
My name is Bryan Allen and along with my wife, Leann, we are the owners and operators of Greytwood Designs.
This all started in June of 2006. We were on a family vacation in Orange Beach, Al. One day during the week, we decided to do something that I had been interested in for quite sometime, but had never had the opportunity to experience. We made the trip over to Penescola, Fl. to the Greyhound Races and the sheer beauty and speed of these animals was simply breathtaking. We went down to the kennel area where they were staging and weighing the dogs, and it was like their eyes were speaking to us, as if they all had a story to tell. We finished watching the races and had an enjoyable time, but couldn't deny that we were forever touched by the experience.
When we returned home, we began doing research on the breed, and I honestly thought, " They cant be this perfect". We attended some GPA(Greyhound Pets of America) meet-and-greets and after spending a couple of hours up close and personal, we knew that they were the breed for us. On August 5, 2006, we adopted "Mr Boogieman", a handsome male brindle that came into our house on the home visit. That night, he had laid down in the livingroom like he had just gotton home, and indeed he had. The longer we had him and the more we learned about these dogs, the more we wanted to help out with the great need that there is to find them permanent homes. We started volunteering with GPA Tri-State in November 2006 and offered to foster a white and brindle female that was on her way up from Florida. On the Sunday night, after Thanksgiving, "Bonnie" arrived at our house and has never left. Although we failed at our first attempt at fostering, we have since had several greys travel in and out of our doors, and they have all been a blessing.
After attending several Greyhound events over the last 3 years, I decided to put my love for the breed and my love of woodworking together. I have various greyhound themed items on the pages of my site including:

I have and will do any breed requested but only stock Greyhound items. I also have a love for UK Basketball so there are a few UK items on the site, so if you see something that you like but it isnt your breed or team just contact me and i will see if i can't build what you want.
